How Reliance Foundation of India has improved quality of education?

India boasts of a robust education system. Despite the booming population, educational institutes have come up in every nook and corner of the country to cater to the educational needs of Indian students. However, the academia debates that there is still room for improvement in the education sector. There is need for better quality education for children and college goers. In this light, the Dhirubhai Ambani University run by the Reliance Foundation offers the best in class educational facilities to meritorious students.

The Reliance Foundation has worked quite hard towards achieving the much required change in the Indian education system. Its objective is to provide quality education to all and it does this through following methods:

Facilities at the Dhirubhai Ambani University
  1. This university, also known as the Reliance University, offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Information and Communication Technology. 
  2. It has a modern, well networked campus with optical fibre connectivity between the buildings. 
  3. It has three air conditioned lecture theatres with AV presentation systems. While two of these lecture theatres can accommodate as many as 200 students, the third is designed to accommodate 250 students. 
  4. It has a laboratory building that houses the multimedia, grid, network, VLSI, RF and English language laboratories. 
  5. It has a gymnasium, a music room and facilities for outdoor games such as cricket, volleyball, football etc. 
  6. It has two residential halls or hostels for men and women. It also has a medical centre with two doctors who are available at specified time. 




Reliance Foundation Schools
The Reliance Foundation Schools are yet another initiative by the reputed foundation of India. There are about 13 schools in the network, spread across the country and they are the source of education for about 15,000 Indian students.

  1. These schools use the National Curriculum Framework and NCERT guidelines for the syllabus. 
  2. The classrooms are AV enabled and also have a public address system, ergonomically designed furniture and display boards. 
  3. It has well equipped Science laboratories with audio-video teaching aids for better teaching learning process. 
  4. It also has a mathematics laboratory which helps students to conceptualise the content taught and prevent rote learning.
